The smart way to read smart cards. The IC 3000 reader/writer has an interface
via RS-232 with PCs or
terminals for all applications involving multiple ISO 7816 smart and memory
cards. Low-cost unit supports
multiple electronic purse applications and provides low-level communications
between host and smart card.
EMV-compatible (Europay, Mastercard and Visa.) small footprint and sturdy, streamlined
plastic housing
add versatility. Unit can be hand-held, attached to a terminal or mounted to
a removable desktop pedestal.
IC MODEL 3000
RS232 family of readers which
reads/writes ISO 7816 asynchronous smart cards and meets the VISA,
Mastercard and Europay (VME) requirements.
DESIGN FEATURES:
* Host/Reader communications are standard ASCII characters. The reader provides all signals and LOW level communications required by the card (Protocol T=0 supported).
* Two Host/Reader communication protocols are available, set for Universal Protocol.
* A development kit is available which includes software and cards. Contact the factory for details.
* Two host controlled LED'S for visual indication are standard.
* The reader can be hand-held or affixed to a terminal or desktop pedestal
