RS232 family of readers which reads two tracks of magnetic
stripe data and reads/writes ISO 7816 integrated circuit cards
(ICC).
DESIGN FEATURES:
MAGNETICS
Works in self arming and host controlled mode, Reads ISO,
AAMVA and customized data upon insertion and/or withdrawal at
speeds between 5-50 inches per second (12.7-127 cm/sec), EEPROM
storage for communication parameters, operating modes, headers,
trailers, etc. The magnetic head is located in the down-right
position (standard).
ICC
Host/Reader communications are standard ASCII characters, The
reader provides the low level communications and protocol (T=0)
required by the card, Some synchronous cards are supported.
OTHER
Front and card seated switches standard. Large debris opening to
prevent jamming. Landing contacts recessed when not in use. Card
aligned for accurate reading. Front and side mounting available.
