The 7x2E Series of readers and reader/writers are designed to accurately read or write dual or triple tracks of magnetic stripe data. Write and read verification of any tracks is accomplished with one swipe.
Standard and high coercivity writers are available.
In addition to reading and writing ANSI/ISO data these units can read and write custom data (3 to 7 bits per character.) A simple software command enables the 7x2E series to write 75 or 210 BPI (2,95 bpmm or 8,27 bpmm) on any track.
Performance
Media speed: 5-50 inches (12,7 to 127 cm) per second (reading), 5-40 inches (12,7 to 102 cm) per second (writing), 5-30 inches (12,7 to 76 cm) per second (high coercively writing).

Interface: Communication is serial RS232. Baud rates, part and protocols are software selectable.
Power: Standard coercivity readers and reader/writers can be powered from unregulated 8-14VDC. High coercivity writers require 12VDC, 500mA per write track. Interface cable is included and power supplies are available.
